Measures Total Taking During Construction

Total are putting in several measures to minimise the impact of the construction on our
residents, their families, and our staff.

• They will have noise and vibration monitoring set up around the site. There are
guidelines that have to be met, and this monitoring will ensure Total are always
complying with this and don’t go over.

• They will be saw cutting the rock before hammering it out. They will also be cutting
around the site first in order to separate the site from our neighbours, including
Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe. This will reduce the vibration impact.

• They will be using acoustic blankets around the hammers to suppress the noise.
These make a significant difference, but the noise will still be loud.

• There will be sprinklers on the site to assist in supressing the dust as the rock is being
removed.

• No trucks will allowed be allowed to arrive at site prior to 7am and they will be held
several kilometres away and called up as needed to reduce noise.

Measure Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe are Taking During Construction

We know that this is going to be a challenging time for our residents, families and staff.
However, we are committed to minimising the impacts as much as possible for everyone.

Some of the things we’ll be doing are:

• Creating a new Leisure and Lifestyle role for Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe.

• Rostering extra Leisure and Lifestyle hours during demolition and excavation.

• We have entertainers booked until the end of the year in anticipation of noisy
excavation works.

• We will be scheduling extra bus trips. We are also looking into options of using a
larger bus with extra wheelchair capacity than our own bus offers.

• We will offer the option to visit Lansdowne Gardens on Manns for the day.

• We are putting in extra maintenance hours at Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe.

• At the moment we are replacing the carpet in the dining room, upholstering the
lounge in the garden lounge and purchasing new TVs. We will continue to maintain
the residence if the need arises.

• We will work with Total to allow times for residents to enjoy the courtyard without
being impacted by noisy works.
