Spring 2019
BAYSWATER NEWS
Welcome
By Benjamin Scott
Hello Everyone,
Welcome to Spring! As we wave goodbye to a cold winter, it’s a great Christmas in July
opportunity to reflect on the great work that has been happening
around the residence. Whilst Bayswater Gardens began to implement
the new Aged Care Quality Standards in January, we had a big push
on education for staff and residents prior to the 1st July
implementation deadline. Eileen and her team have also been
working hard on ensuring that everyone is aware of the new Charter
of Aged Care Rights and I would like to ask that if you haven’t yet
returned a copy of this to kindly contact Eileen and let her know if
you would like to sign the new charter or would prefer not to. The
Charter along with our Certificate of Accreditation can be viewed on
Level 1 near the main reception. Mignon & Barbara
Welcome to all our new staff. Jenny Sharpham and Molli Ah Lam have
started to work with Ruth in our Leisure & Lifestyle Team and are
putting together a great activities program.
Bayswater Gardens has always taken the opportunity to thank the
hard‐working and dedicated staff through social activities and a
reward and recognition program. Congratulations to our
housekeeping staff member Manoj who won our Standing Ovation
Award for July, and Sayara who won the award for August. Keep an
eye on the posters in the lifts for more information on the current
month's winner and if you’d like to compliment a staff member Thai Cultural Day
please fill in a My Thoughts Form.
As always if you need anything please don’t hesitate to contact me on
0456 063 500 or via email bscott@bayswatergardens.com.au
Warmest regards,
