Meet the Team
Andreas Alvin
I am the Executive Chef at Lansdowne Gardens and
recently joined the team in May 2021. I’m married
with a son age 7 and daughter age 5. I was born in
the Capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta in the early
80’s. I graduated with a Bachelor of Business
Information Systems in ACU in 2012 as well as
Commercial Cookery in 2018. I like travelling,
culinary and playing badminton as sport. I also like
to eat Asian dishes but love to cook Western dishes.
My food journey started in Australia in 2009, where
I developed my skill and knowledge in the
hospitality industry from scratch.
In 2012, I was fortunate enough to be involved in
the Hospitality Management & Development Team
at Seagrass Hospitality. In mid 2016, I started to
focus on back of house and took on a role as an
Executive Chef for a fine dining restaurant before
moving into the health care industry. Prior to
joining Lansdowne Gardens I worked in the kitchen
at a hospital.
My aim, is to bring my skills and experience to
Lansdowne Gardens to provide fresh and succulent
food for our residents. As the Executive Chef, I also
like chatting with the residents and love to listen to
feedback to improve their dining experience.
Outside working hours, I usually spend my time with Follow Lansdowne
family, eating out or having a barbecue in my
