From Karen

Hello, I‘m Karen and have recently joined the terrific
team at Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe as
Residential Services Manager.

I have vast experience in Aged Care having worked in
the industry for 35 years. I started in the area of
Leisure & Lifestyle, a wonderful beginning in which to
interact with and get to know residents. I then
moved into positions in Rostering, Human Resources
and Quality Services.

I have attended many courses in Aged Care and
completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences in my
pursuit of professional development and keeping up
with the latest advances in care for the elderly. Faye beaming with bingo joy

I live in the Northern Beaches area and have 2 sons
and 4 delightful grandchildren who I spend a lot of
time with. I’m a great babysitter!

My passions are attending the gym and swimming in
the ocean. I do like bushwalking and gardening and
recently inherited my father’s amazing lifelong
Bonsai collection. This is a very intricate art and I will
have to do a special course in order to keep it in the
immaculate condition that my father left it in.

I am enjoying working with the great team at
Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe and especially
with David who is my mentor. I am appreciating
meeting all the residents and establishing good
relationships with them. I am also getting to know all
the families and hope to meet you all in the next
months.
