Vibrant Voices

“Music is a piece of art, which goes in the ears,
straight to the heart”‐ Anon.

Singing offers a multitude of benefits for people at every age.
This is both physically and emotionally. Physiologically, singing
can improve breathing, posture, language impairments and
muscle tension.

Evidence suggests that music plays a role in sustaining a
healthy immune system. This is by reducing the stress
hormone cortisol and boosting the Immunoglobin A antibody.
Actively participating in singing can also release
neurochemicals such as endorphins which can improve our
sense of happiness and wellbeing. Furthermore, learning new
songs is cognitively stimulating and can help ones memory.
Singing and choir groups also promotes social interaction and
can create new friendships.

Lansdowne Gardens have started their very own quirky choir
group named ‘Vibrant Voices’. Choir practice is at Manns
Avenue on Thursdays at 2pm and at Wycombe Road on News from Cranbrook
Fridays at 3pm. Families are welcome to come and join!
Everyone has an ability to sing, however much you might Care
disagree. Song is undeniably a powerful therapy!
