Spring 2019

                                                               WILLIAM CAPE NEWS

                               Welcome

                               By Cathy Blomquist

Thank you for the warm welcome I have received since my return to 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing, Lauren
William Cape Gardens. I am very happy to be working again with our as an Astronaut with Noreen
lovely residents and great team of staff.

It is an especially exciting time at William Cape Gardens with our
refurbishment project now well underway. From what we are seeing
so far, the finished product looks amazing, giving a fresher and more
homely feel. We are working very hard to ensure that the impact to
our residents is kept to a minimum at this time. If you have any
concerns or questions at all throughout the process please don’t
hesitate to contact me to discuss.
                                                                            Lauren with Janet and Rosie
During August we said goodbye to our much-loved Client Relations
Manager, Debbie Hinton. Debbie will be missed but we wish her all
the very best in her new adventure and thank her for the valuable
contribution she made to care and services at William Cape Gardens
over the past eleven years. The responsibilities of Debbie’s role have
been shared across our other residential services team members to
ensure a seamless transition for our resident’s and families.

Each month we recognise one person from the team of wonderful
staff we have at William Cape Gardens with our “Standing Ovation Fred at Queen's Birthday High Tea
Awards”. The very worthy recipient for July is RN Janice Mendoza.
Janice approaches her work in a quiet, conscientious way and no
matter how busy she may be gives time to others and helps to look for
solutions, always working with care and consideration.
         Congratulations Janice.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind our residents and
families that I am always happy to meet with you to discuss any
concerns you may have. Please feel free to “pop” into my office, chat
as you see me on my daily rounds throughout the home or contact me
via Reception or email anytime. Until next time with warm wishes,
                                                                            Lauren with Ermlinda
