The Year in Review

The Cranbrook Care Family

William Cape Gardens
William Cape Gardens has had an event-filled year. Our Winter Music
Festival, featuring live performances from professional musicians was
well received, as was the “Jazz Vibes” Jazz event and the Wine and
Cheese Festival. The Leisure and Lifestyle events calendar has been
jam-packed with interesting outings and excursions for our residents
including the Alison Homestead outing, High Tea at the Cove Café
in Terrigal and the Anchor Café Morning Tea – all held throughout
the calendar year. More recently, we celebrated Melbourne Cup Day
with a fantastic luncheon and social event to watch the race that
stops a nation. We are again looking to 2019 with hope for a fulfilling
year ahead. Congratulations to our Limelight Award winners, Suresh
Bodkuntla, Monica Faulks and Brian Hodgson.

Bella Vista Gardens
We have found joy in the diverse and increasing events and activities on
offer that have made the second half of the year fly by! Our Executive
Chef Elvis Zhang was selected as a finalist in the Hospitality & Lifestyle
Aged Care Awards 2018, in the category of Chef Manager. We were
also proud to be a selected as a finalist in the Urban Development
Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW Awards for Excellence in Aged
Care 2018. Announced on the 3 August, the awards acknowledge
developments with a high standard of overall design. We hope that
next year is as prolific as 2018. Congratulations to our Limelight Award
winners, Maree Gilkes, Kulvinder Kaur and Veronica Kentwell.

Bayswater Gardens
There have been some fantastic events that have occurred during the
year including our “Frankly Sinatra” Winter Music Festival event, our
annual Wine and Cheese Festival, Jazz on The Green and recently the
ever-popular Pets on the Lawn event! Bayswater Gardens was proud
to have been a finalist in the Urban Taskforce Development Excellence
Awards 2018 for Seniors Living. These awards recognise the pinnacle
of achievement in property development. Bayswater Gardens was
also selected as a Finalist in the SoupedUp Hospitality & Lifestyle
Aged Care Awards 2018, in the category of Facility Catering Service.
