7 COLOURS OF CRANBROOK, SUMMER 2018
Lansdowne Gardens
The refurbishment at Lansdowne Gardens was recently finalised in
November. We now have a brighter atmosphere, and we’re making use
of the new coffee machine in the Piano Lounge. We were thrilled to
have passed our Accreditation visitation in June, having successfully met
all 44 standards. Some of our other recently implemented ideas have
included regular BBQs and the creation of the Lansdowne Lions Choir.
Congratulations to Catherine Doyle, Lifestyle and Leisure Coordinator,
on being selected as the Winner of the SoupedUp Hospitality &
Lifestyle Aged Care Awards 2018, in the category Lifestyle/Activities
Individual Award. Congratulations to our Limelight Award winners
Sunam Adhikari, Yogita Subba and Sabina Thapa.
Cranbrook Residences
We have been delighted to welcome a new influx of residents in
recent months. We have had some exciting visits this year, including
the Honourable David Elliott visiting for the second time, to share his
passion for our local area. For the residents, our introduction of a Table
Tennis Table, Tai Chi classes, Fashion Parade events and other seminars
have kept everybody entertained. We continue to host our usual
events such as the Friday BBQs, and other exciting events including
a Trivia Night, Melbourne Cup Celebrations, Boys Night In event and
a Pot Luck Dinner. We look forward to a fantastic 2019 year ahead.
Cranbrook at Home
Earlier in the year we were joined by Tanya Austin, our new Business
Manager. Tanya is passionate about helping older Australians and
their families understand their care options, assisting them to make
the choice that is right for their needs. Tanya is excited to help
Cranbrook at Home clients stay connected to their local community.
Recently, Cranbrook at Home presented a Breakfast briefing launch
at our Lansdowne Gardens residence, inaugurating the new home
care solution proposal on offer. It was explained how the services on
hand are able to benefit the Residential Aged Care Sector and clients,
incorporating the additional services available at Lansdowne, in the
new home care offering.
West Street
We have been extremely active here at West Street, with the addition
of some new staff members, including Tanya Austin, Business Manager
for Cranbrook at Home, Lee Marriott as Group Care and Services
Manager, Sue Narayan as ACFI Manager and Lisa Forbes as Clinical and
Compliance Manager. We also have experienced an expansion in our
Finance Team. Our Marketing team has also grown with the addition
of Julie Parras as Marketing Manager for both Cranbrook Residences
and Cranbrook at Home. We have diversified and grown as a team to
increase the support to the Residences and to enable strategic planning
for the future.
