WHY STRINGS CLASS?
* With the Strings Class, the school creates a learning environment in which the pu-
pil is emotionally and socially formed.
* The school has a clear musical and artistic profile.
* A Strings Class is a sign for the school with which it can distinguish from other
schools.
* A Strings Class is a first step towards a real school orchestra.
* The responsibility for an instrument gives the child a sense of value.
* Group activities in the classroom create a bond, making music in an orchestra is
also great fun!
* Learning a musical instrument promotes concentration and stamina - this also af-
fects other subjects in school.
* Many - usually more than half - of all Strings Class students still play on their in-
strument after the first two years.
* In the Strings Class the student learns something that can also be used outside
the school.
* The Strings Class is possible for everyone, including those who otherwise would
not have the opportunity to learn to play a full-fledged musical instrument.
* Music lessons with the Strings Class are more attractive, the children go to the
class with more fun.
* All theoretical knowledge is literally offered in a playful manner.
* Music associations that provide the Strings Class at a school can also recruit new
members for youth orchestra’s.
* The students learn to literally listen to each other.
* All students start on an instrument without any prior knowledge.
* From the very first lesson the students 'play' together already.
