on to study for a PGCE at the Institute of Education. Since then I have been working at a secondary school in Wembley, teaching Science to a wide range of students. I am really enjoying teaching and taking on the role of Year 9 leader next year!
Christina Hardy: I graduated from Reading University in 2011 with a degree in Real Estate. I gained a place on the graduate scheme at Gerald Eve LLP and successfully qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2013. I continue to work at Gerald Eve as an associate within the development team, advising land owners, developers and property companies, and specialise in land disposal, acquisitions and development consultancy. I currently live in Herne Hill, South-East London.
Immy Holroyde: I spent four years studying English and French Law at King’s College London and the Université de Paris 1 Panthéon- Sorbonne, before seeing the error of my ways and completing a PGCE in Primary Education. I have spent the past five years at a school in East London, where I am head of KS1. Last year I completed my Masters in Education and Professional Studies at KCL, and obtained my NPQML. I now live in London with my fiancé.
Isobel Scott-Barrett: I spent a year cooking (and eating!) around Ireland, Italy and Oman, before studying Arabic and Farsi at Cambridge, during which time I spent a heady year doing much the same in Lebanon. After a spell as a domestic

George Hill: I went to the University of Manchester. After graduation I moved into web development and have been working in that industry ever since. In 2017 I started my own web-development company, focusing on elearning (Armada eLearning Ltd). Primarily, we develop, consult on and host bespoke elearning solutions for medium and large organisations. I also run a nano-brewery (Hill
violence caseworker in London, I honed bread-selling skills at Borough Market amidst essays at the School of Oriental and African Studies, with a few trips to Syria and Iran in between. I now work for a conflict resolution charity, splitting my time between London and visits to Israel and Palestine.
Chelsea Trott: After finishing Oundle, I returned to Bermuda for the summer and was a beach lifeguard until mid-August. I then started at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Over the next four years I studied a wide range of subjects, as in the States you do not have to focus on a degree until the end of your second year. I declared my major of Environmental Science and went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Science in 2012. After finishing university, I completed a 10-week internship rotation in Bermuda with Deloitte, HSBC and Ace, to gain some experience and see if I was interested in working in any of these fields. I spent the rest of the summer as a beach lifeguard until the end of October. I started applying for jobs locally and got a fantastic opportunity as a risk analyst at Ariel Re Bda, a reinsurance company based in Bermuda and London, which at the time was owned by Goldman Sachs. I started off in catastrophe modelling as a risk analyst on the insurance side and moved to senior analyst on the reinsurance side. Over the last two years I have been working with the specialty underwriting team, who
mostly work on property retro and marine business. I have recently been promoted to assistant underwriter, giving me underwriting authority to write actual deals. I also recently got engaged to Cameron Madeiros. We have been together for almost six years and couldn’t be more thrilled. We are planning to get married in the latter part of 2019.
Alexandra Wardall: After school I took a year out before university and ended up working on private sailing yachts in the Mediterranean. I studied English Literature at Manchester University, but afterwards returned to working for sailing teams, focusing on logistics and operations for the international race circuit. I worked for a variety of teams, including Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing in the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-15. I have since worked in logistics and operations for a variety of remote location projects around the world, including in the humanitarian and expedition sectors. Last summer I was the base camp manager and logistician for a remote expedition in the Indian Himalayas with British Exploring. I now work for the British Sailing Team, in charge of the Olympic Games logistics for Tokyo 2020.
Jennifer Yung: After finishing school, I completed a medical degree and MSc in Cardiovascular Health in Manchester. I worked there for two years before moving to London, where I am now an internal medical trainee. I plan to apply for respiratory medicine next year and am currently working at King’s College Hospital.
