www Newcastle University, I moved to London to work for Colefax and Fowler to gain a greater understanding of all things interior. After three years within different parts of the Colefax company, I moved to David Linley & Co, where I specialise in bespoke furniture for private residences and super yachts.
Josh Lambkin: After school I went on a gap year and then studied Politics at Newcastle. I now work as a consultant in political strategy and communications in London.
Jake Norman: I started working at OAL after graduating from the University of Bristol with a degree in Economics & Management. Having worked for Deloitte in both audit and consultancy streams, I recognised that I could make the biggest impact in an innovative SME. Passionate about improving food, I lead a team of engineers changing how food is prepared and processed with robotics.
David Rothera: After leaving Oundle, I studied for an MSE in Chemical Engineering and Business Management at the University of

Leena Blaum: After a gap year in South America I went to medical school in Lübeck, northern Germany. I extended my studies with a year in Norway until I obtained my MD in 2016. Currently, my husband, Gerrit, and I live in a little house close to Hannover and I am working on the ICU at a local hospital. I'm planning to specialise in internal medicine. When not on duty, I love to spend my time outdoors, rock-climbing, hiking and cycling, with our five-year-old collie-mix always tagging along!
Claire Bouwer (née Orton): After leaving school, I started my gap year with a four-month expedition to Papua New Guinea, where I helped build a guest house for a tribal community, taught in the local schools and lived in a hammock. I then travelled to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Vanuatu, and very
Birmingham. During this time, I lived in Boston, Massachusetts, for a year whilst working at Shire Pharmaceuticals as a process engineering intern. I went travelling for a very brief three-month period after my internship before completing my degree. After university I worked as a project manager at ExxonMobil for four years. I worked on several global IT infrastructure projects, but decided it wasn’t for me and took a career break to go travelling with my girlfriend. I got back to the UK in April 2018 and decided not to go back to Exxon and instead start Canopy Farms Ltd with my brother, Chris Rothera (L 10). Our company transforms arid/dry coastland into sustainable agriculture, using our own saltwater cool-house design. We are in the early stages but building quickly and hope to have a first project underway by the end of 2018.
Harriet Scriven: Having planned on leaving London straight after UCL, I am still here six years later, unpredictably accompanied by Harry Millington (S 08) and Fred Hodgson (S 08) in Bermondsey. Working in
international marketing for Selfridges allows me some escape, however!
Sophie Wake: After leaving Oundle, I went on to complete a BA Hons degree in Acting at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and then began my career as a professional actress straight after graduating. I have been lucky enough to enjoy roles on both stage and screen over the last seven years, including ITV's Mr Selfridge, An Inspector Calls at The Playhouse Theatre in London and Follies at Opera de Toulon. I am currently performing in a play at The Barn Theatre in Cirencester. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next 10 years will bring!
Maria Wieromiejczyk: I went to the University of Illinois, where I studied English Literature and Psychology. I then stayed to do a Masters in Labour Employment Relations. I started working in California for PepsiCo as an HR manager and then moved to Portland, Oregon. I now work for E. & J. Gallo Winery, the world’s largest winery, as an HR manager for the engineering department.

much enjoyed visiting these amazing locations. In New Zealand I met Hans, now my husband, and we continued a long-distance relationship, as I had to return to the UK to start my MChem degree at the University of York. Within two years
we had married in South Africa, Hans had moved to live with me in the UK and this year we will have been married for seven years. After university I started work as a performance fuel development chemist and worked in Essex for four
