Message from teachers

芒果树 MANGO tree class

I am proud of the children in my class. I heard positive comments such as “Mango Tree children
can discuss with each other very well.” or “Your class is walking out of the Dory Room (orderly
after nap) by themselves.” or “They are fast in packing up the mattresses.” Bravo! I also like to
remember the children’s drawings of the three days graduation camp activities. I am surprised
that ‘Night Walk’ is the favourite and impactful camp activity. Personally, I like the children
working with each other to build their child-like tents using cubes, mattresses, egg cartons,
cloth, boxes, laundry clips and other materials provided. I saw good collaboration, exchange of
ideas, negotiation, problem-solving, creativity and friendship in the process of constructing those
tents. Of course, I also heard giggles, laughter and argument. One girl shared in her drawing, “I
am very happy because I have never built a tent at all. But I build a “like-a-home” tent with my
friends during K2 camp.” Although the children did not get to sleep overnight in the school, but
they gained the beautiful feeling of designing and sleeping in their own tents for a nap in the
afternoon on the last day of the graduation camp. Bingo! Finally, as I was reviewing the videos
of all the camp activities, I was caught by the KINDNESS of the children helping other another,
shouting WORDS of ENCOURAGEMENT to friends to accomplish some challenging activities
together. I want to say, “I Love You, Mango Tree”. I hope that you will spread kindness when you
go to Primary School.
2020 is a difficult year. I call it ‘Year of the Mask’. I am grateful that all the K2 teachers stayed
united and worked together really well to make the ‘Three Days Graduation Camp’ memorable
to all the K2 children. I would like to say a Big Thank You to the whole team of K2 teachers.

2019年，园里种下三棵树，芒果树、苹果树和枫香树。园主将照顾的工作分派给六位农夫，我是负责照顾芒果树
的其中一位。望着树上青涩且大小不一的芒果，心中盘算该如何培育、收成。肥料是首要，加点快熟面、加点祖
父母的爱，咦？！芒果好像有长大些，再过一段时间应该能熟成吧！
2020年，突如其来的疫情使园子暂时关闭，农夫们备妥各种肥料，并在树周围架设电子设备，透过云端看着芒果
们自由发展，等待园子重新开放。终于，农夫又回到园内照顾树木，只是担心“冠病”虫害，每颗芒果都多了一
层保护，但他们吸收养分的速度却丝毫没有放慢，三天的露营让每颗芒果变得饱满多汁，农夫只需等待瓜熟蒂落
时。
园里枫香、果香四溢，六位农夫坐在树下乘凉休憩，聊着照顾三棵树的点滴，共同织起耐人回味的记忆。
