STAFF RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING
STANDARDS Our recruitment process includes initial telephone interviews,
client site visits, cleaning knowledge assessments, references
and security checks (if required). We also have a good deal of
TUPE experience and can transfer teams for you. All new
employees go through a Hathaway's Way Induction process
and quarterly training updates. We also support those who
want to gain cleaning qualifications.

THE HATHAWAY TEAM
We take care of our people and we are proud of our team of
diligent, courteous, hard working and resourceful cleaners.
Over the years we have built up a dedicated team of
employees with whom we are in close contact. Some work on
clients and teams and others stay available to cover for
holidays and absence. We take care of our people with good
training and the right tools to do quality job. We deliberately
pay the living not minimum wage and provide holiday pay -
this means we have low staff turnover - this is good for us and
good for you.

RECOGNITION
We have recently introduced an employee incentive scheme
linked to our customer quarterly reviews to acknowledge great
work and resourcefulness by our team members.

SAFETY AND HEALTH
Like Disney - safety is our no1 objective and we apply our
health and safety procedures rigorously. Risk and COSHH
assessments are put in place and staff are trained to ensure
compliance with the latest legislation. All our cleaning
products are accompanied by the relevant COSHH
documentation.

SECURITY
All our employees sign confidentiality agreements and are
trained on potential security issues. We have clearly defined
security processes with regard to key holders and alarm
systems for our teams who work onsite out of hours. If required
CRB or additional client security checks can be undertaken.

ENVIRONMENT
We encourage employee awareness and practical
implementation of good environmental policies as we clean.
This covers recycling, the use of aerosols, choices for
environmentally friendly products and the use of mops/ cloths
that can be washed to reuse them. As part of our initial
discussions with our customers we seek to include their
preferences with regard to their own environmental policies..
