Making Every Connection Matter
September 16– 17, 2022
We’ve been busy as an Association and I’m excited to say we have completed the site selection and contract negotiations
with the Great Wolf Lodge, in the northernmost part of Colorado Springs. The hotel has immaculate conference facilities
with huge floor to ground windows and stunning views of Pikes Peak. The Air Force Academy is right across the highway,
where you’ll see small planes taking off and landing, as cadets learn how to fly. It’s the growing and happening part of
Colorado Springs and conveniently located off I-25, which makes it easy to get to for people coming from Pueblo, Castle
Rock, and the Denver metro area. And we appreciate those members who make the trek to the Front Range!
Great Wolf Lodges are in select cities
throughout the United States and
Canada. Colorado Springs is one of
those lucky cities. Besides excellent
conference facilities, at the other end of
the hotel is a water adventure park that
includes putt-putt golf, ropes courses,
and all sorts of activities. A great get-a-
way for people wanting to bring their
family, grandkids, and make a weekend
out of it. And grown-ups, too.
So, we have signed and sealed the deal but now comes the delivery. This is where we need you!
Delivery involves everyone in the PPIAC to make the conference successful. Many of you are familiar that when a
business or association chooses a facility for a conference, there are contractual obligations for the number of hotel
room nights needed to be occupied, food and beverage minimums to be met, and of course planning for the conference.
This year’s theme is: Making Every Connection Matter. We made a great Covid comeback at last year’s conference, and
we are working hard to draw more attendees this year as worries have lessened. We have secured some new speakers
this year and are continuing to find more. If you have a topic you would like to present, please send the conference
committee, a board member you know, or the board , your proposal. Last year, Rachel Roberts did a great presentation
on a case she worked involving murder vs. suicide. All topics will be considered. We’ve got talent and experience in PPIAC!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Save the date! September 15-17, 2022,
and know the hotel rate of $119 includes
four free passes per room (normally $29
per day per person) to utilize the water
park if you’d like. This rate will be valid two
days before and after the conference.
When registration opens, get registered
ASAP to help us track how we are pacing.
Make your hotel reservation sooner than later! This is key. This is the grueling part the Board of Directors and the
Conference Committee sweat out each year – meeting the contractual room obligations.
Let us know if you’d like to present and send us your proposed presentation topic.
Spread the word to other investigators and anyone else interested in the business.
Volunteer to help the conference committee on planning, tasks, marketing, etc.
Get ready to connect with other investigators!
