iPAUL is ADAPTIVE
Truly, the pandemic crisis that we are facing right now has changed the world that we live in; SPSB as an educational
institution is not spared from these dynamic changes. We stand to proactively respond to the challenges and turn these into
valuable opportunities to imbue growth, resiliency, and hope among our stakeholders. We are adaptive! As we make our
first step into adaptive learning we hope to offer flexibilities to our learners.
iPAUL aims to deliver equal chances of learning to all our students. Hence, every single learner may choose his/her
own learning mode. What’s more, iPAUL addresses the contexts of both learning coaches (teachers/parents) and learners to
ensure that technical, pedagogical, and psychological conditions are looked into.
TEXTBOOKS will serve as the main reference for learning, though other reference materials will be employed to
enrich the teaching-learning processes.
iPAUL empowers students to become self-directed and responsible, independent lifelong learners with the help of
learning packets/modules. With the limited contact time with teachers online, students and parents will be guided by the
learning packets/modules that are designed to direct/instruct students on what they need to accomplish in the lesson/study.
Learning packets/modules explicitly identify activities and tasks to be done by the students before, during and after the
learning session. They also present assessments that aim to gather evidence of the attainment of knowledge and skills.
Accommodation on late submission of outputs and non-attendance to online and physical classes with VALID
REASONS may be done. Expanded opportunities for students will be available for them to catch up with the lessons and
other academic requirements during Mentoring Sessions/Consultation Period. A Monitoring scheme will be in place to make
sure that participation and submission of outputs are met.
We cannot change the situation, but we pursue on configuring out the keys to radiate the Pauline spirit. The
first few days of classes will be spent on practicing important routines and discussion of students’ expectations and roles
and responsibilities which will enable the students to succeed in learning. In addition, students will be given clear
guidelines and specific details and instructions as they go about their tasks and responsibilities along the way.
One of the hallmarks of Paulinian education is its holistic formation of students. While students need to develop
academic skills, knowledge, and understanding, teachers will continue to provide guidance, support and mentoring to
ensure general well-being. Teachers are available for consultation at 3:30 to 4:30 every day, except Wednesday.
