          Keynote Speaker

ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL, AND PROCUREMENT
IS AS LOCAL AS IT GETS
Remember when procurement was boring? That was great, wasn't it? In the
current political environment, school districts are under heightened scrutiny
by both constituents and larger groups with broader political agendas. This
scrutiny can extend all the way down to how products and services are
chosen, who chooses them, and who's selling them. This session will provide a
broad overview of the current political environment and how both buyers and
vendors can employ strategies from the lobbying world to avoid problems and
                                         deal with challenges.
