Your Fear
You are worried that you will end up enslaving yourself to the leader, and not being able to be yourself.
Your Gain
Imitation is the pursuit of 'truth.' When we encounter truth, it sets us 'free' and does not enslave us.
Considering this perspective of the power of imitation, it must be understood that it frees us to fulfill our calling in life, and to have the opportunity to develop in a way that would otherwise have been impossible without having the leader's example to follow.
