QUADRILATERALS
Closed shapes with four corners and four
sides are called quadrilaterals
Square
All four sides are equal in length.
A square has two diagonals. Their length is
equal.
All four angles are 90 degrees.
Opposing sides are parallel to each other.
Rectangle
All four angles are 90 degrees.
A rectangle has two diagonals. Their
length is equal.
Opposing sides are parallel to each other.
The opposite sides of the rectangle are
equal to each other.
Trapezoid
A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with two
sides parallel.
The sum of consecutive angles is 180
degrees.
Parallelogram
Opposing sides are parallel and equal to
each other.
The sum of consecutive angles is 180
degrees.
Equilateral Quadrangle
All four sides are equal in length.
The diagonals are perpendicular to each
