Prof Piet van Rooyen BIOGRAPHY
Professor in Political and
Administrative Studies Prof Piet van Rooyen is a Professor in Political and
Administrative Studies in the Faculty of Economic and
Faculty of Economic and Management
Sciences Management Sciences at the University of Namibia. He
holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the University
University of Namibia
of Stellenbosch and a Master’s degree in Literature from
the University of Namibia. He has additional qualifications
in Archaeology, Nature Conservation and Anthropology.
He has been involved in the social, economic and
environmental aspects of several development projects
in Namibia. He is a well-known author of Afrikaans fiction,
based on Namibian socio-political and environmental
issues.
