Olina stands up and walks around while talking in the centre of the room. When

she is as stressed as she is now, her speech is imbued with the noticeable accent

she has. Her reddish-brown hair is tightly pulled back in a knot and her large,
round earrings dangle around as she speaks.

Ahmed sucks his lips tightly inwards as usual, and sits by the windowsill with
worried expression, smoking a cigarette out the slightly opened window.

"You need to take the first aid to Tom, if necessary, so that we may get an

overview of his condition quickly."
The reason Ahmed is sucking his lips together is to cover of his harelip, which

with time has just become a habit, something he always does. He has been

operated on the harelip four times already, and it’s barely visible anymore. He
buds the cigarette in the small ashtray, which is by the windowsill, but on the

outside. He walks and sits next to Karin in one of the leather chairs. Olina is on
the other side of the desk, facing them. Karin is calm opposed to Ahmed. She is in

her late thirties and the mother of two healthy twin boys. She is athletic, slim,

with a great pale, blonde mane. She is as taken of the TV-show about Vikings – a
Valkyrie. Where Ahmed lives the harsh investigator-life with long nights awake,

cigarettes and unhealthy eating routines, Karin’s lifestyle is the opposite.

Niklas, her husband as well as herself, are complete sport fanatics, they workout,
eats healthy and have wholesome habits, it’s their first priority, a common goal

of sorts.

Ahmed is still a bachelor, has medium height, along with slightly muscular body
without being anything too gym-serious. He has a dense, gradually greying

beard, and his crew-cut hair is very black, but with small grey splashes here and

there. His face is furrowed and he looks significantly older than he really is.
Martial arts have been his great passion, a way to get out of his complicated

childhood in Ishøj – a rough suburb to Copenhagen.
