time another massive iron door opens – inside the real gun rack. She looks at the
various weapons in her collection. She takes a few guns and weighs in her hands
hand, then eventually decides that it should be a M4-Carbine machine riffle as
well as a Heckler & Koch G3 and Glock 19 handgun, the latter can be worn in the
belt. The M4 can fire a round 30 shots in less than 60 seconds. It was a brilliant
weapon of war, and Bjørn and her supervisors have shown her how to handle
such a large weapon for such a slim girl-body. She has done a lot of training with
it.
The little fleet of vehicles driving towards the airport one by one consists of
three cars driving with emergency lights as Bjørn has requested. No chances
should be taken, where they could end up in traffic jam or the like. Tom has to
leave Germany as soon as possible.
"Coast is clear," says Helle, crawling towards a better position, almost at the
very edge of the roof. She moves one of the two bulletproof shields she is lying
on, in front of her, and presses a small mechanism in the middle of the shield. A
small hatch opens and the shield can now be used for shooting as well as
protection. She sticks out the barrel of the gun through the small hole in the
shield.
"If they start shooting, which I don't think they’ll do, it's better that we use the
shields. We need to stay protected."
"You might be right," says Karin, making the same manoeuvre as Helle, one
shield up and the other as a base against the January cold.
Then they are both aiming at the rest area 10 A on the other side of the
highway.
“We have a good view from here, but it will be hard to get away from them if
they start playing. "
“Ahmed has the opening to fire a grenade, so that those on the ground cannot
react and flee immediately. The question is how much backup they have with
them. ”
Helle does not respond to last sentence; she lies concentrated on getting the best
sight for a shot.
"What can we expect from Tom, what will he do?" she asks.
Karin doesn't answer right away.
