As the number of strands increases, so does the
number of pattern variations. When you add
colour to the mix the overall effect can start to get
overpowering if the piece is too small. Consider
the overall effect in the finished product whenever
contemplating increasing the complexity. Of course,
the added beauty and seemingly complex nature can
also be a little intimidating to a beginner knot-tyer –
just follow the directions and photographs carefully
and the new knot-tyer can achieve the same results.
