3 Bring the left-side cord under the first cord… 6 now you can see that the ‘bump’ has moved
over to the other side. Continue to make an
arm opposite the bump, putting the tail behind
the cover cord…
4 – and tuck the left cord
over the core cords and
down into the right loop.
7 – and then make another overhand knot, just
as in Stage 5 above, by tucking the tail down
into the loop again. Continue alternate sides
until you have finished the length you need.
The finished flat form of Emperor
Sinnet or Snake Band Sinnet, so
called because of the chevron
pattern or snakelike wiggle to the
finished surface.
5 Bring it over the core cord, tucking its tail
down into the loop you made with the first
arm, then pull this overhand knot tight.
