The finished weave. Now, the difficult thing to do would
be to make it with a single strand of three colours.
Four-strand sinnets
Four-Strand Sinnets follow the same pattern as one
of the Four-Strand Braids illustrated in Chapter 4.
The sinnet shown below can be doubled to produce
a slightly different appearance. You can also try
adding a third strand to each bundle, making twelve
strands in all. This more open weave lets you add
the sinnet to a frame or a garment when you want to
reveal the texture or colour of the underlying piece.
The round form of this sinnet is shown later in this
chapter.
First method
2 Move the centre left cord under the centre
right.
1 Stretch a pair to each side of centre.
3 Move the outer right under the centre right.
