Callan Nokes was named Eanes ISD Athletic Director in 2022.
Nokes served as assistant athletic director for men’s sports since 2014 and has led the boys golf team since 2002. In 2023, Nokes led the Chaps to their sixth con- secutive state championship and was named Texas High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year. He earned National Golf Coach of the Year honors in 2021 by the National High School Coaches Association. The Westlake Boys Golf Team has played in the State Tour- nament in 19 of his 21 seasons as Head Coach. Westlake has won more State Titles (13) and invitational tourna- ments than any other school in 6A history in Texas.
Nokes started at Westlake High School in 1998 serving as an Assistant Football, Golf, Track, and Basketball coach from 1998-2002 and coached the offensive line in the 2000 and 2001 5A State Championship games.
He was named Head Boys Golf Coach in 2002.
Over the next 20 seasons (with 2020 being lost to the
pandemic) his teams won:
9 - Team State Championships (2009, 2010, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023)
4 - Individual State Titles (2012, 2014, 2019, 2023) 2 - State team Runners-Up (2012 and 2015) 3rd-place team (2016)
4th-place team three times (2003, 2007, 2011)

18 - District Championships
In 2013, he was honored by the Texas High School Coaches Association with the highest milestone of victories, compiling 500 victory points in 11 seasons, the fastest to achieve that milestone in 6A history. In 2009, he was named Texas State Coach of the Year and NFHS Southwest United States Regional Coach of the
Year. And in 2023 he received the USA Today High School Sports Award for the Austin Area as the Boys Team Coach of the Year.
Callan began his career at Westlake in 1998 after gradu- ating from the University of Texas at Austin undergrad in 1994 and UT grad school in 1996. During that time, he worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Barton Creek Country Club.
Callan and his wife Kelli have two daughters, Carter who graduated from and Hunter who attends the University of Texas at Austin.
HALEY GADDIS

Haley joined Austin Westlake High School in August of 2006 as the Head Softball Coach. She was named WHS Assistant Athletic Director in the fall of 2015.
As Head Softball Coach, Gaddis has an all-time winning percentage over .500. Gaddis has also been a four-time recipient of District Softball Coach of the Year. She has had six student-athletes earn All-State Softball honors, and 23 players go on to play collegiate softball.
Gaddis additionally assists the Academic Administration with various duties.
Prior to coming to Austin Westlake, Gaddis was an assis- tant softball coach at Texas State University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a Master of Education from Texas State University.
Before graduating in 2001 from Texas State University, Gaddis was a four-year starter for the Bobcat softball team. During that time, she was a three-time First Team All-Conference Recipient, and was selected as the Texas State Female Scholar Athlete of the Year, as well as receiv- ing the Jean Smith Postgraduate Scholarship.
Haley and her wife Rachel have one daughter, Greer and two boys, Grayson and Gunner.
