Planning Background
This Club Renovation Project is a conceptual overview of the long-term development at Corpus
Christi Country Club. It is the result of a planning process that has included a member survey,
developing a strategic plan, making clubhouse improvements as well as golf course improvements
based on members' feedback, developing conceptual plans and illustrations and identifying
potential costs and funding options. The purpose of this entire process is to reach a consensus on a
long-term plan for out club's facilities at Corpus Christi. It is important that we address these issues
so that we can provide the type of club our members and prospective members want, make prudent
use of our resources, raise the funds to execute the Project and promote membership under a
common vision.
The Board's goal is to improve Corpus Christi Country Club so we can stay competitive in our
marketplace. We musts not only be looking to attract more members and most important retaining
our current members. It is our hope that by involving the membership in this process, we will be able
to improve our Plan and ultimately our membership experience.
Positioning for Success
Lifestyles are changing and if out club is going to remain successful, it must be in
position to respond to the new and evolving demands members place on the
modern country club. The purpose of forward planning is to appeal to multiple
generations of members- both existing and potential. Our Club will only remain
successful if we continue to offer experiences and services that are relevant to
current and anticipated lifestyles. In order to identify what the future may hold
for private clubs like ours, we have studied trends in society and the club
industry, with a special interest in the evolving demands the various age groups
are placing on private clubs. Our analysis identified that substantial changes are
taking place at private clubs all across North America. In general, the movement
encompasses both golf-centric activities and family-oriented lifestyle models
CCCC
where the club serves as a vehicle for a wide variety of activities and programs.
While a great golf experience is an essential part of the overall experience, very
much so is the family experience.
