MAXIMUM PTO ACCRUALS:
Maximum PTO accruals will be 2.5 times the employee’s annual PTO accrual
amount. Once maximum PTO accrual has been met, the employee will stop
accruing additional PTO.
PAID LEAVE FOR ALL SEASONAL AND PART TIME EMPLOYEES
This policy is established provide our employees with paid leave to be used for any
reason, including personal or family needs, illness, or other personal matters. All
part-time and/or temporary employees, are eligible to accrue and use paid leave
under this policy. Full time employees will utilize the company’s standard PTO
policy.
Paid leave will accrue at the rate of 0.025 hours for each hour worked with a maximum of 40
hours earned per calendar year. Employees may carry over unused paid leave from year to year,
up to a maximum of 2.5 times the annual accrual limit (i.e., up to 100 hours).
Employees may use accrued paid leave for any purpose, including but not limited to
personal or family illness, medical appointments, school or childcare issues, legal
matters, or any other personal reason. Time needs to be taken in whole hour
increments and may be taken in increments as low as one hour. Employees are
encouraged to provide as much advance notice as possible when intending to use
paid leave. Unscheduled absences will be monitored and employees will be
disciplined when the frequency of unscheduled absences adversely affects the
operations of the department and/or is considered excessive.
Upon termination, accrued and unused Paid Leave hours will be converted to wages
on your last pay check.
The company strictly prohibits retaliation against any employee for exercising their
rights under this policy or the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act.
This policy is designed to comply with the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act
and will be administered in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
WEATHER RELATED ABSENCES
If an employee is unable to report to work due to poor weather conditions or
transportation problems, the employee will not be paid. The employee may use PTO
hours in full day increments if the manager/supervisor is contacted prior to the
normal starting time of work.
