            During the Korean War, Jeong Gil-sung, a member of Dokcheon Church, was martyred. At
            that time, Yeongam produced 88 martyrs, and the list of martyrs is as follows.

            Byung-hyun, Choi Kyung-ae, Choi Ki-woo, Lee Yi-soon, Kim Deok-kyung, Kim Chang-
            eun, Kim Heung-ho, Kim Chang-bin, Kim Sang-rak, Kim Bong-gyu, Chunyang-nim, 4
            unknown people (19 people)  / Dokcheon Church: Jeong Gil-seong (1 person)  / Maewol Church:
            Lim Ja-il, Lee Tae-il, Lee Young-sim (3 people)  / Samho Church: Kim Sang-gyu, 1 unknown
            person (2 people)  / Sangwol Church: Preacher Shin Deok-cheol, Seo Seok-geun, Kim Chun-
            dong, Yunseong, Im Yu-sang, Jo In-sim, Lee Bok-man, Im Hang-woo, Lee Il, Jo Jae-yoon,

 “We will try our best to faithfully discover   Lee Moon-chan, Jo Bu-bok, Jang

 10 people from Cheonhae Church including pastor Park   Na Ok-mae, Moon Bong-soon, Oh
 Seok-hyun were martyred by communist forces during the   Juk-hyun, Kim Min-su, Hyun Young-
 Korean War. Until now, the church has dealt with cases of   pil, Haenam, Pil-nam (10 people)
 being killed by communist forces during the Korean War
 as martyrdom. The church considers being killed while
 defending one’s faith as martyrdom.
