On Shemini Atzeret, we recite Tefillat Geshem, the
prayer for rain, and add mashiv haRuach to the
Amidah prayer as we call out to G-d for a year of
abundant rain. During the winter months, Israel’s
rivers and springs fill with water, bringing life and
vitality to the Holy Land. Here are just some of the
hundreds of nechalim that flow through Israel.
This winter, may they be full of water!
