The word Personality comes from a Latin word

‘persona’ which refers to a theatrical mask
worn by performers for different roles. Clearly it
means different characteristics/ features

donned by a person making
him/her different. The traits/emotions/behaviour

bring in difference as well as similarity amongst
people. We identify people, communities and
nations with their unique qualities.

Then perhaps we can say this unique

combination is a collection of traits, behaviors
and attitudes.

Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Sachin

Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar, A.R.Rahman and
Narendra Modi are great personalities
unarguably. What makes us look up to

them, idolize them? Personality is the
typical pattern of thinking, feeling, and

behaviours that make a person unique.
