           Axel Becker
Manager Trend Research / Cabin Programme, Airbus
Axel Becker leads the trend research and
market intelligence team in the Airbus Cabin
Programme. He is responsible for all cabin-
related airline and passenger trend research as
well as scenario/cross-industry analysis.
Previously he worked for the Daimler Society &
Technology Research Group in Berlin and Palo Alto. In
this role he was responsible for conception, support and realisation of various scenario and innovation projects with a strong focus on the automotive business and air transport industry.
In addition, Axel lectures at the Technical University Munich.
Madeleine Braun
Product Manager, KLM
Madeleine Braun is currently responsible for the passengers experience in World Business class. She works in a team with the airline’s cabin attendants as she has two stakeholder groups: the passengers, and the crew. Madeleine believes a happy crew results in happy passengers.
KLM focuses on Dutch design (Marcel Wanders, Jan
Taminiau and Hella Jongerius) and also works with three-star chef Jonnie Boer to give its passengers a memorable experience. It is currently introducing the new ‘Anytime for you service’, which offers more choice and control, improved restaurant style, delivered by a selected and trained Anytime for you crew
Martin Buchholtz
Director Global Product & Service Innovation and Research, LSG Group
Martin Buchholtz has been with the LSG Group
for more than ten years. During this time, he
has offered his insights to a wide range of
customers – from premium, full service carriers
to airlines  ying pure onboard retail concepts.
The LSG Group accompanied clients through the
turbulent years in the industry, assisting in business
model changes with increasing individualisation of on-board services at the forefront.
Richard S Chung
Vice President, Innovation & Design – Seating, Adient
Richard Chung is currently overseeing  ve technical centres on innovation and design globally, focusing on future product technology, process, and new business models not only in automotive, but the entire industry of mobility, including aircraft.
Previous roles include VP for global industrial design
strategy and execution for Yanfeng Automotive Interiors and VP of industrial design for Asia Paci c at Johnson Controls Automotive, having worked on over 130 vehicles’ seating and interior for various customers.
Richard spent 13 years with Ford Motor Company, which included leading the North American Small Car design studio, interior studio manager for Transit, and leading Ford’s Global Craftsmanship organization.
Paul Colley
Senior Vice President, Technology, Spafax
Paul Colley oversees the development of
Spafax’s growing digital product range as
well as its technical services at The Hub. He
brings over 20 years of experience building
and delivering software solutions that add
value to businesses large and small and acts as
a key liaison to all of our technical partnerships.
Over his ten years with Spafax, Paul has been key in
revolutionizing the company’s delivery process by building the core enterprise software that is used across its network.
Lauren Costello
Executive Director, International Flight Services Association
Lauren Costello serves as the Executive
Director of the International Flight Services
Association (IFSA), a global professional
association created to serve airline and railway
personnel, caterers and suppliers dedicated to
the advancement of the multi-billion dollar onboard
services industry. In this role she is responsible for the
association’s operations, which include government affairs, communications,  nancial management and managing the client team based in Atlanta and Brussels.
She also serves as the Director, Programs & Services for the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX). In this role she develops content for multiple yearly international conferences and manages other tasks, including strategic planning, board relations, website and database management, membership development and retention, communications, meeting planning and  nancial management.
Lauren is a graduate of State University of New York at Oswego, earning an MBA in Management and a BA in Business Administration / International Business.
René Dankwerth
Executive Vice President R&D, RECARO Aircraft Seating
René Dankwerth has been Executive Vice President R&D of RECARO Aircraft Seating since 2012. Prior to this position he was Director Quality and later Director Purchasing.
Before he joined RECARO in 2006, René worked for DaimlerChrysler in several roles. He studied engineering and business administration at the Technical University in Darmstadt.
Simon de Montfort-Walker
Chief Technology Of cer, gategroup
Simon de Montfort Walker was appointed Chief Technology Of cer in February 2016. He leads the Technology Centre of Excellence and
the global information and communication technology function.
Simon has a wealth of experience in commercial
technology, covering product innovation and
delivery. He held key leadership roles in multiple
technology-based  rms as well as led the operational turnaround efforts for companies in the airline industry as a management consultant with Sapient Corp. He holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from the King’s College, University of London, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
