Catalent is a global provider of drug delivery technologies, drug manufacturing
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA solutions, biologics, gene therapies and consumer health products. Catalent
supports 7,000 products for over 1,000 customers all around the world.

This project involves the renovation of 16,000 square feet of space to create
new cold rooms (8ºC, -20ºC and -80ºC), ambient temperature packaging rooms
and support spaces. The support spaces include gowning, a new break room,
renovated restrooms, receiving and waste dock and storage.

The HVAC system was designed to exceed COVID-19 protocol filtration
requirements. The filtration within the air handling units consists of MERV-7 pre-
filters, and HEPA final filters. The new environmental rooms have a UV fan filter
installed inside to achieve 12 ACH of recirculated filtered air.

DEDC was the lead design firm for the project. We were responsible for all design
disciplines. We also provided all MEP and structural engineering and design
services for the project. We also assisted and provided technical leadership during
system start up and commissioning.
