This project involves the expansion of the current kitchen area which supports both the Food
Bank and FoodWorks culinary classes. The expansion will encompass 6,000 + sf. Changes
include moving the classroom towards front end and expand from 25 people to 30 people with
potential to make it a working classroom with stainless steel tabletops on wheels. The facility
operates as an on-site prep/cooking kitchen equipped to prepare and cook meals to be
packaged and delivered/pick-up. Meals are packaged in disposable packaging. Equipment will
be rearranged to give a better workflow. All new and existing equipment will be of commercial
grade and meet current health code requirements.
