                         The foodbank provides food and resources through a network of 536 hunger-relief program partners.
                         Their partners include food pantries, shelter or residential programs, social service agencies,
                         emergency soup kitchens, children’s nutrition programs, schools and neighborhood and church
                         distribution programs who reach low-income people in need. They distributed more than 8 million
        pounds of food last year. The Food Bank of Delaware provides food to food pantries, emergency shelters, low-income day
        care centers, after-school programs, senior centers, churches and other feeding programs.

        This project involved 16,823 sq. ft. dedicated to two culinary cooking kitchens to be operated simultaneously. The building
        also includes a new warehouse area with dry storage, walk-in coolers and freezers.  The facility operates as an on-site
        prep/cooking kitchen equipped to prepare and cook meals to be served in an adjacent dining room.  Meals are served on
        a combination of re-usable and disposable dinnerware requiring a full dishroom. All equipment is of commercial grade
        and meet current health code requirements.
