The Rail Yard Student Housing
Owner/User: College Town Communities
Location: Newark, Delaware
Design Statement: Located on the site of the former
Dickinson Dormitories, this new 320-bed student housing
project will redefine off-campus residential living at the
University of Delaware. Bernardon is providing architectural
design services to create multiple prototypical residential
buildings that will center around common outdoor shared
elements for students to use year-round. The lower levels
of the structures include common spaces and indoor and
covered outdoor spaces. The upper levels include multi-level
residential units with bed/bath parody units of varying sizes.
This project is currently under construction.
