ASTRAZENECA PHARMACEUTICALS – MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL
FACILITY ASSESSMENT AND SITE UTILITY MASTER PLANNING,
WILMINGTON, DE
Commercial development of the AstraZeneca Fairfax Site began in the late
1950’s. The Site’s utility infrastructure and building mechanical and electrical
systems consisted of a combination of old and new systems. AstraZeneca
commissioning DEDC to examine and assess the Site mechanical and
electrical infrastructure and building systems in order to meet present day
requirements and planned future growth. The Utility Master Plan provided not
only an assessment and specific upgrade recommendations of the major
systems and utilities throughout the Campus, but also a planned course of
action for future capital spending. The report helped to develop the Fairfax
Site’s five (5) and ten (10) year recapitalization plan.
MOORE COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN – MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL
ASSESSMENT AND MASTER PLANNING, PHILADELPHIA, PA
Moore College of Art and Design is a private college that offers undergraduate art
and design programs. The college initiated a program to create a Campus Master
Plan that addressed: Assessing Moore’s current facilities and infrastructure, current
deficiencies, and future needs to develop a master plan. DEDC was selected to
provide MEP design services. The Master Plan will be implemented over the next ten
(10) years as part of Moore’s capital planning process.
WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY – SITE UTILITY MASTER PLANNING AND
DOCUMENTATION, WEST CHESTER, PA
West Chester University contracted DEDC to undertake a comprehensive utilities
master planning effort. This included creating consolidated, accurate Site Master Utility
Drawings for the WCU Campus to be used for future building location master planning,
as well as maintenance and operations. to complete all document requirements to
achieve LEED Silver Certification. The Utility Plan would help with the utility
infrastructure supporting buildings in the campus and act as a “living document” to be
updated as changes are made.
