Avenue North

Location: Wilmington, Delaware

Design Statement: Delaware developer Delle Donne
& Associates partnered with Bernardon to develop a
concept beyond typical mixed-use developments. The
$350 million Avenue North development will be a “live-
work-play” utopia on Concord Pike near the gateway to
Wilmington, DE. Avenue North will add 12 new buildings,
260 new apartments, four new streets, and 10.5 acres
of open space. The project’s initial construction revolves
around the circle at the southern end of a central avenue.
The south circle will be framed by a two-story retail
building and a 12-story glass office tower which are under
construction, as well as apartments.
