Design Statement: Bernardon provided design services
for a 144-room Hyatt Place hotel in downtown Newark,
Delaware. The project consists of a new, seven-story mixed
use building of approximately 119,273 SF with a 89,280 SF
parking garage. Programmed spaces include:
■ first floor lobby, bar, and retail space;
■ office space on the second and third floors;
■ meeting space, fitness center, and guest rooms on the
fourth floor; and There will be a partial basement under a portion of this footprint
