Our Legendary Founder
Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh, the founder of Goldcrest High, School was a visionary
philanthropist and thinker. His dedication to community service is a shining example of
service to the nation. His firm belief that education is the key to the future and to provide
education to all, led to the foundation of the Manjara Charitable Trust in 1988. More than 27
institutions are being run under the aegis of the Trust.
He believed that an educated child not only benefits the family but also the community around
them. His ingenious farsightedness has made education accessible to thousands of young
minds in Maharashtra that will help carve a better and happy world for generations to come.
He is among the few who have created history by launching opportunities for education with
the potential to lift the hopes, spirits and dreams of the children who are the future of our
country. An extraordinary statesman, blessed with great oratory skills, he worked tirelessly
for Maharashtra and aspired to make Navi Mumbai a world-class city.
