STRENGTHENING PRIMARY HEALTH CARE
Our plan for robust primary healthcare includes:
• Developing Comprehensive Primary Health Complexes in Cheshire Hall transitioning services from Cheshire Hall Medical Centre, Grand Turk - replacing services currently housed at Cockburn Town Hospital.
• Establishing a major Polyclinic in Providenciales and upgrading other clinics across the islands.
• Implementing a Home Healthcare Program for the elderly, supported by home health aides and PHC staff, private sector providers, and reimbursable under NHIP. This initiative will prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, optimize bed utilization, and deliver high-quality care at home, reducing costs and improving outcomes.
