BORDER FORCE
• Increased recruitment to bolster security and enhance operational capacity.
• Investments in advanced technology such as a mobile narcotics detector, drones, digital forensic capabilities, forgery detection equipment, and body cameras for Enforcement Officers.
• Installation of a digital borders system. With E-Gates, the processing of arriving travellers will be more seamless.
• Introduction of an immigration court system to decide on who receives permission to remain in the TCI, who is deported and provide entry clearance into the country.
• Implement scanning capabilities at all ports.
• Establish an immigration presence in Middle Caicos.
• Establish a drug testing laboratory to support immigration court cases which involve drug importation.
