Around the Clubs Bideford Bridge organises four major fund-raisers
each year. The next event is a darts marathon in

his delight at being able to support the charities, Heading for the slopes

Okehampton Rotary Club has presented a
cheque for £750 to some of the town’s college
students who will be trekking in the Indian
Himalayas this year.
During their travels, the students are hoping to
build some poly-tunnels for villagers in the
remote areas they will be visiting.

The first five of these charities are local to
Bideford Bridge; the sixth, the David Rundell
Trust, is run by Northam-based Dorothy Rundell
and, according to Jeremy Drakeford, “does
fantastic work in Rwanda, proving that Rotary is
an international organisation that does not forget
the needs elsewhere in the world”.
