Potential business owners approach a local
Microfinance Institution (MFI) that is a
Lendwithcare partner and, if the ideas show
promise, they get the go-ahead for the loan they
need to get their business going. The MFI uploads
the entrepreneur’s profile to Lendwithcare, which
is regularly updated as the business progressed
and members can choose which idea they’d like to
support.

The entrepreneur pays back the loan in
instalments to the MFI, which transfers these
repayments to CARE International. These are then
credited to members’ Lendwithcare account.

When the loan is repaid, members can take their
money back if they wish. They can also donate it
to CARE International, or they can make another
loan, helping more entrepreneurs turn their ideas
into reality. Falmouth has been re-lending small
