Any good idea cannot be materialized when it is not expressed in a poor manner. When it comes to a paint-
ing. ‘polishing the language’ is never a small thing. So, the artist adopts her own way in portraying a forest.
It is not wrong to call her drawings ‘dot paintings’ finished with minute touches. As if she was counting
stars in the sky, the artist fills spaces on the canvas with knife prints from its corners to its center. It is a
very tiring job, but the knife printing is executed applying the rhythm and

elasticity of her body, and so she says she can not recognize time is flying. Moreover, dyes are spread in
a different direction, strength and size so as to ensure that her works should not result in a mechanical
repetition. In such a way, numerous dots are diversely transformed. Sometimes, touches are overlapped,
adjacent dots are interlinked, or a dot is painted over another. A dot painting is being completed through
the interrelationship or dynamics of respondence and intimacy. A rhythm of moulding, which is attained
as dots are connected, heaped up and entangled, is sweetly applied to the whole canvas.

To the artist, what does the action of imprinting mean? According to her saying, imprinting is like a
process of cultivating and purifying herself. The action of repeated imprinting, after all, may imply self-
purification. While repeating the imprinting, she recalls her past, recollects her beautiful. memories, or
calmly reflects herself. In this regard, she may bring shame to Pascal, who says that a man’s tragedy is
caused when he cannot sit quietly in a back room even for a minute, since she feels a sense of stability
and finds peace in mind as she is easily immersed in herself. Self-examination is a way of life and viewing
the inner workings of oneself is most important thing. As is the same with the other aspects of one’s life,
paying no attention to or taking no care of his inner world will lead to a diseased body and mind of his.
Looking deep into the inner world will enhance the soul of contemporary men who cannot spare a minute
to reflect themselves.

Glaring at her works, we will probably a kind of shudder. Then, where is the shiver from? We are aware
that we are the inheritor of eternity’ as we feel the warmth of sunlight shedding on a lake, feel the joy of
life from a scene of a flower bud in full bloom, stand singly against a wind blowing from a forest, see tree
leaves reflecting the sunlight, and/or fear a gentle sound of dried leaves blowing. The eternity detected
