MALAYSIA.
4 fiber pairs are jointly owned by NTT,
PLDT, and STARHUB.
CABLE LENGTH
• High powered repeatered optical
transmission to allow transmission over
7,169.144km.
•Consist of 6 fibre pair connecting Japan to
the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore
with branch to Hong Kong and potential
landing in Mainland China.
• Alternative route within Asia-pacific region.
• Restoration paths to existing trans-Pacific
cable systems linking Asia-Pacific to North
America such Japan-US Cable Network
(JUSCN).
SYSTEM CAPACITY
• To date total capacity of 600Gigabits per
second for 2 fiber pair belonging to
Malaysia.
• Design capacity 15.36Tbps.
TECHNOLOGY
• DP-QPSK-allowing bit-rate up to 40Gigabits
per second.
SYSTEM COMMISSIONING AND
UPGRADE
In service since August 2012 for Phase 1,
2013 for Phase 2 – NEC.
Estimate end of service in 2038.
