Paraphernalia
1. Ward kit must include:
BP apparatus small notebook
Stethoscope Disposable Gloves
4 ball pens (red, black, blue & green) bandage scissors
Pencil with eraser thermometers
Pulse oxymeter Tourniquet
Nail cutter Med Tray
Tissue Paper/Wipes 6- Inch ruler
Face towel Med Glass
Cotton ball (wet & dry) Mask
penlight with battery
2. CHN bag must contain:
70% ethyl alcohol surgical scissors
Cotton balls medicine glass
Tape measure forceps (curved and straight)
Kidney basin alcohol lamp
thermometer Syringes and needles
Paper Lining bandage scissors
70% denatured alcohol hand towel
Soap and soap case weighing scale
Test tube holder cord tie
Apron hydrogen
Betadine peroxide
Test tubes gloves
Spirit ammonia Ophthalmic ointment
Plastic or linen lining Sterile Dressings (OS)
Extra paper for making bag for waste materials
Guidelines for Demerits on Paraphernalia
1. Lack of one of the required paraphernalia is equivalent to one demerit
2. A student without any paraphernalia shall be considered absent and will have to make up for 3
days.
3. A student found borrowing the paraphernalia of other students shall be considered absent as well
as the student who lend his/her paraphernalia shall have to make up for 3 days
4. The following must be placed inside the pocket of the student’s uniform/polo: small notebook,
penlight, 1 thermometer, 1 ball pen, bandage scissors, ruler, nail cutter.
Attitude or Behavior While on Duty
1. Courtesy towards superiors, patients, health staff, community folks and fellow students is expected
from all students.
2. Students are encouraged to maintain a happy disposition at all times.
