 I was diagnosed with T1D when I was ten years old. When I was diagnosed, I had   I love to volunteer with JDRF and I enjoy it when the staff gives me a call to

 I was a youth ambassador for 4 years after being diagnosed at 12. I am a   Before Blake’s diagnosis, T1D was very foreign to us.  We quickly learned that
 senior in high school and I plan to go to the University of Michigan to study   T1D, an autoimmune disease, had nothing to do with her diet, activity, or
 business.  I sometimes look back on my diagnosis and wonder “what if I had   lifestyle.  Instead, her pancreas abruptly stopped producing insulin.  We were
