          School perspective





        Tackling the topic of litter can be utilised when
        schools deliver the cross-curricular responsibilities of
        literacy, numeracy and digital competence. Numeracy
        targets can be driven by collecting real life data. This
        data can be analysed and presented in such a way to
        make it relevant to the whole school community.


        Litter issues can be highlighted through art and
        performing arts projects. Geography pupils can
        identify features of their local area; understand how
        people affect the environment and how they can
        improve it. The development of teamwork and taking
        responsibility has strong links with PSE and the Welsh
        Baccalaureate Qualification.
