There was some success last year
with growing tomatoes, spinach,
potatoes, and raspberries.
The hope this year is to grow these
again and add much more such as
carrots, onions, strawberries, beans,
black currants, rhubarb, and leeks.
In addition, we received a number
of plants from Keep Wales Tidy that
we need to transplant outside when
the weather improves. So, it’s a very
exciting time here!
We have the time to do this as the Land Studies crew have 3 lessons a week.
In addition, in KS3 I have been able to incorporate the subject in with Design
and Technology for Year 8 and 9 which have two lessons a week.
The hope is that they would be out working in the garden and Polytunnel
during their lessons when the weather permits.”
