A big impact that we can have is to
reduce the issue of litter at source, that
is to reduce consumption of items that
require single use packaging. Be part of
the wave of change to make a culture of
reusable drinks containers and reduce
pre-packaged foods from shops and
restaurants.
Check that any bins you have in your
school are fit for purpose, that is that they
are in the right places, the correct size
and that the design prevents litter from
blowing out or being pulled out by animals.
Everyone can help to keep your home,
your school and your local area clean and
clear of litter, by ensuring litter is placed
in the bin and helping to collect any items
that have been dropped or blown into the
